To celebrate the formation of the San Miguel MetOpera Trust and to announce to the Mexico City professional and arts community that the MetOpera National Council had created a Mexico District, the Trust hosted an inaugural gala in Mexico City in August, 2019. It featured performances by our four 2018 audition winners, and was highlighted by the attendance of The Honorable Christopher Landau, Ambassador of the United States of America in Mexico.
